Michael currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for DePaul Community Resources, a human services organization which for over 40 years has opened doors to hope and belonging for families and individuals across Central and Southwest Virginia. Michael is responsible for DePaul’s overall strategic financial direction in achieving long-term financial sustainability and is responsible for all of the organization’s financial affairs, including but not limited to, risk management, control systems, preserving and growing organizational assets, and financial reporting. Michael is also directing DePaul’s efforts in revenue diversification and social entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining DePaul, Michael was a Partner for over 15 years in the Roanoke office of Dixon, Hughes Goodman LLP, the largest CPA firm based in the southeastern United States and among the nation’s top 15 in size. Recognized as a trusted advisor to senior management, he has had broad experience working with colleges, hospitals, foundations, continuing care retirement communities, and other small business.
